Villain Arc Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Villain Arc handles information when you use the app.

Overview

Villain Arc is built so your app data stays with you. FCT Technologies LLC does not require you to create a company hosted account, does not operate a backend service for your workout or profile data, does not access your personal app data, and does not store your personal app data on company controlled servers.

For core app functionality, your data stays on your device. If you choose to enable Apple services such as iCloud sync or Apple Health integration, data may also be processed through Apple systems under your Apple account and Apple’s own policies.

What Villain Arc Stores

Villain Arc stores app data locally on your device so it can function properly. This can include your profile information, workout history, workout plans, workout splits, exercise history, goals, training condition history, settings, and an optional profile photo.

This local storage is used to support app features such as resumable workouts, saved plans, health views, suggestions, and app preferences.

iCloud and CloudKit

If you enable iCloud for Villain Arc, your app data may sync across your own devices through Apple services such as iCloud and CloudKit. This sync is handled by Apple using your Apple account.

FCT Technologies LLC does not access that synced data through a company operated backend. If iCloud is turned off, Villain Arc can still work locally on your device, but cross device sync and cloud recovery may be unavailable.

Apple Health and HealthKit

If you grant Apple Health permissions, Villain Arc may read and write Health data through HealthKit. Depending on the permissions you allow, Villain Arc may read workouts, body weight, height, sleep, steps, distance, energy, heart rate, respiratory rate, flights climbed, and related workout metrics. Villain Arc may also write completed workouts and body weight entries to Apple Health.

This access is used to power in app health history, workout linked detail, sync mirrors, and related features. Health access is optional, and you can change it later in system settings.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Villain Arc may schedule local notifications on your device, including rest timer notifications and steps related notifications that you enable in app settings.

These notifications are delivered through Apple’s notification systems. FCT Technologies LLC does not run a separate notification backend for these core app features.

Profile Photos

If you choose to add a profile photo, Villain Arc may access your camera or photo library, depending on the action you choose. Your selected photo is stored as part of your local app data.

FCT Technologies LLC does not upload or store your profile photo on company controlled servers for core app functionality.

No Tracking or Analytics

Villain Arc does not use tracking of any kind.

Villain Arc does not use advertising identifiers, third party ad tracking, analytics SDKs, behavioral profiling, or cross app tracking. FCT Technologies LLC does not collect analytics about your use of the app through a company operated tracking system.

No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data

FCT Technologies LLC does not sell your personal data.

FCT Technologies LLC does not share your personal app data with third parties for advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes.

When you use Apple platform features such as iCloud, CloudKit, HealthKit, notifications, or the App Store, Apple may process data as part of providing those services. That processing is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.

Data Retention

Your Villain Arc data remains stored on your device until you delete it, remove it through app or system controls, or delete the app.

If iCloud sync is enabled, synced copies may also remain in your Apple account according to Apple’s sync and retention behavior. Some Health linked records may also remain available or unavailable depending on Apple Health and your Villain Arc settings.

Your Choices

You can use Villain Arc without enabling iCloud sync. You can decline Apple Health permissions. You can decline notification permissions. You can add, replace, or remove your profile photo. You can delete the app and remove its locally stored data from your device.

Children

Villain Arc is a fitness and wellness app. FCT Technologies LLC does not knowingly collect personal data from children on company controlled servers because Villain Arc does not collect personal app data on company controlled servers for core app functionality.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

FCT Technologies LLC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If that happens, the date at the top of this page will be updated.
